Multiplate Hester-Dendy Samplers Come Apart Easily—Without Tools!
High-quality masonite hardboard Hester-Dendy Samplers come in three different designs: small square plates, round plates and large square plates. Plates and samplers in all designs are made of 1/8" smooth, tempered hardboard. The eyebolts, washers, and wingnuts are made of stainless steel for long life. Wingnuts at the bottom allow disassembly without tools.
Small Square Sampler has nine 3" square plates separated by 1"-dia. spacers. Total sampling area is 0.10 m2.
Large Square Sampler has fourteen 3" square plates and twenty-four 1"-dia. spacers. Total sampling area is 0.16 m2. Round Sampler has fourteen 3"-dia. disks and twenty-four 1"-dia. spacers. Total sampling area is 0.16 m2.
The Round Sampler and Large Square Sampler are approved by the US Geological Survey, EPA and other groups for benthic macroinvertebrate collection.
