Forester’s Staff Compass Double Graduated: Azimuth (0°–360°) and Quadrants (0°–90°)
Beveled flat base and straight edge graduated to 1⁄4" for plane table work. Declination can be adjusted 45° east or west, with vernier to set off declination within five minutes of arc. Cardinal direction symbols rotate with graduated scale when declination is offset. Warren-Knight Forester’s Staff Compass includes percent vertical angle scales and interchangeable degree scales for accurate slope measurement to ±30° or ±60°. Offset sights are notched in housing at 90°. Free-swinging, 3-1⁄4"L needle has a thumb-operated lock. Permanently mounted circular spirit level on the Staff Compass face allows fast, easy leveling. One-piece case measures 3-3⁄4"H, 1"H with sights folded, 5"-dia. Warren-Knight Forester's Compass includes a ball-and-socket joint for mounting on a Jacob Staff (No. 101872) or tripod.
