Stormwater Samplers
Innovative sampler designed for ease of use. Monitors rainfall precipitation rates and allows automatic collection of a storm water runoff sample after a predetermined amount of rainfall. Available commands include: set rainfall limit, reset rainfall count, run pump forward, run pump backward, enable/disable water sensor, enable/disable end of month reset, adjust time and date and show captured event.
A dedicated microprocessor with two-button operation and a four-line LCD controls the sampler. Function, settings and current data are continuously displayed. The integral, 12V peristaltic pump is programmed to take a sample when the predetermined rainfall event occurs. The polyethylene sample bottle has a high water shut-off float that activates when bottle is full. The reversible pump will then purge the sample line after the sample has been collected. With a cable and plug connecting the self-emptying rain gauge to the sampler, the gauge can be located away from overhead obstructions. The water level sensor is also connected to the sampler by cable and plug, allowing the sensor to be placed in a pond, stream or other suitable collection area. The Stormwater Sampler is housed in a lockable, water-resistant ABS enclosure that cam be located inconspicuously and secured on a construction site. Size: 6.7" x 11.4" x 17.4". Operating temperature: 32°–140°F. Includes: 20'L sample pickup tube with weighted stainless steel strainer, water level sensor with 20'L cable, one liter sample bottle, self-emptying tipping rain gauge with 40'L cable, rechargeable 5A gell-cell battery and a 110V AC battery charger. Weight 16 lbs. Optional datalogger (No. 113680) and software package (No. 113660) provides a continuous record of precipitation against time. Use Black Nylon Cable Ties to secure the pickup tube to a stake or steel rebar.
Compliance: Georgia NPDES Permit GAR100000 for construction site runoff.
