The M-97 Metal Detector is designed specifically for finding buried or paved-over valves, boxes or vaults, conduits, manholes or any other concealed metal object. The unit can be used in a wide variety of environments, including sod, wet ground, foliage and even highly mineralized soil. Identifies metallic objects by speaker sound and needle movement. The unit features two sensitivity modes to allow you to adjust for the depth and size of the object you are trying to locate. Normal mode eliminates distraction from small metallic items, while the high mode gives maximum sensitivity for deeper and smaller objects. Control panel is also simpler to operate with only two knobs and a push-button.

Comes with 8"L waterproof search coil loop, an optional 11"L Coil is available for greater detection depth. The M-97 comes with 12 AA batteries and can be used with optional Headphones (order separately). Carrying weight: 3.7 lb. Length adjusts from 32.5-42".
