SCHONSTEDT® MAC-51BX Magnetic and Cable Locator

With just a flick of the switch you can use the Receiver only as a magnetic locator to locate ferrous pipes and objects. It will locate 4" diameter pipes at depths up to eight feet. A siren-like tone decreases to a null when metal is detected. Operates on 4 “C” alkaline batteries for 50 hours of intermittent use. The addition of the transmitter allows the unit to inductively trace metal pipes, buried cables and any object with a magnetic field. The unit is sold complete with a conductive cable assembly for unparalleled tracing ability. Even non-metallic pipes can be traced by using metallized tapes. Order the optional mini-transmitter for tracing nonmetallic pipes. The optional inductive signal clamp allows the unit to selectively trace cables or conductors with nonmetallic insulation. The unit uses a dual 82.5kHz high frequency and 571Hz low frequency. The unit is sold complete with a rugged carrying case, headphone jack and conductive cable assembly with ground stake.
