LaMotte Macro Mania

Introduces the use of stream macroinvertebrates to determine water quality.

Stream macroinvertebrates can be used to determine water quality. The lecture material sets the scene and then teams of students are given decks of cards representing samples, which they use to determine the water quality from their site.

Each team gets a card deck, a poster-sized sorting sheet and a map. Additional materials include a Macro Mania poster and a Macro Mania manual containing background information, instructions for activities and extensions.
Includes materials for six teams of students. Expansion Kit includes three decks and three sorting sheets.
