All-steel construction.

Determine rate of compaction for any soil. Applications include soil research, civil engineering and agriculture. To use, apply constant pressure on the built-in hand grips to push the rod and cone into the ground. Resistance of the soil is determined by dividing the reading by the surface area of the selected cone. A drag pointer records the highest measurement. Range of 10,000 kN/m2 (1450 psi).

Extension rods, four interchangeable penetration cones, pressure gauge, tool set, aluminum hardcase and instruction manual are included.
