Topo USA lets you add your own routable roads and trails. Just plug into your GPS and track your outdoor position in real time, seeing the hills and valleys of the landscape. View extensive topographical land features such as land cover, land use, elevations, mines and cemeteries in addition to roads, cities, bodies of water and certain man-made features. You can look at a 3-D plot of land from any angle of elevation or from any compass direction. In addition, you can view street level detail (for all U.S. roads) as well as topo detail--either separately or together.
Features real-time GPS tracking on 2-D and 3-D maps using DeLorme Earthmate GPS Receiver. Split-screen features let you view 2-D and 3-D maps simultaneously. Maps are based on USGS data.
Maps can be customized with drawing tools, and you can record details of your trip such as the weather, wildlife, time of arrival and observations along the way. The software includes more than 300,000 miles of trails in our National Parks, National Forests, National Wildlife Refuges, BLM lands and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects.
Topo USA 5.0 East and West includes everything you loved from the earlier Topo USA versions--works with all popular GPS receivers. New 5.0 software allows you to route your trips automatically over roads and trails. You can gauge the terrain with realistic 3-D maps and instant elevation profiles. Then, print maps with exactly the information you need.
