Choose in-base (transmitted) illumination through the stage to view translucent objects, or incident (reflected) illumination for opaque specimens. Microscopes feature sensitive achromatic optics for high resolution, locked-on 10X eyepieces that focus for crisp, erect images, adjustable interpupillary distance from 54mm to 78mm. 360° rotatable head with dual magnification. 1200SH Series is illuminated from top and bottom with quartz halogen lights. F1200SF Series features a cool white fluorescent light from below and a variable quartz halogen light from above. Halogen from above provides the light intensity needed for crisp images while the cool white light from below prevents destruction of heat-sensitive samples.
