All parts are interchangeable!
It's easy to customize your own tools with the interchangeable parts sold below. To build your own Hoedad, a Blade, Bracket, Handle and Bolt Package is required.
Choose the Standard Straight Blade for work in most soils and terrain. Tapered blade, sharpened at the foward end and up 6" on both sides. Rasmussen Concave Blade is a sharp blade that is slightly curved for maximum penetration. Prevents soil from rolling back around sides. Plug Hoe Blade is ideal for planting container stock. Blade is 3"W, tapering to 1"W, to coincide with the seedling's root system.
Next, choose from two Bracket types, each available in Brass or Tinselite. The Regular Handle Bracket creates a 90° angle between the blade and the handle. The Earp Hoe Handle Bracket is offset 100° from the blade so the hoe goes into the ground nearly perpendicular to the planting surface.
The Planting Hoe Handle and Bolt Package are required for all Hoedads. Constructed of hickory, the Handle measures 36"L. The Bolt Package contains four 9 bolts (1/4" x 1"), nuts and washers.
Note: These are kits, assembly is required. A machine press is required to attach the handle to the handle bracket.
