HAGLÖF Vertex Hypsometer

With this instrument you can quickly and accurately measure tree height from 0 to 100m (0 to 300 ft.) and distances from 0 to 30m (0 to 100 ft.). Readings can be made in metric or English. Convenient, pocket size unit even works through very thick vegetation and brush. Unit automatically displays distance, angle and horizontal distance to transponder or target.

To use, fasten the transponder at a pre-defined height on tree. When taking measurements, you will need to be able to see the transponder and the top of the tree. Look through the hypsometer and aim the red beam at the transponder. Press the red button until the dot disap-pears. Read your distance, angle and horizontal distance to the transponder. Next aim at the tree top and press the red button, this will instantly show tree height.
