Cruiser's Crutch™

This slope compensating angle gauge is calibrated for 0 to 90° slope. It gives correct basal area readings for English basal area factors 10, 20, 30 and 40. It is made of Lexan® with beveled edges and includes a 26" nickel-plated chain with 4 brass balls-one for each BAF. Line up the tree to be measured with appropriate slope percentage line on the gauge. If the tree at dbh is wider than the line on the angle gauge being sighted across, tally the tree.
