A fusible link inside the cover melts at 165°F (77°C), immediately snapping the lid shut. The closed lid cuts off the oxygen needed to sustain a fire inside the container, reducing the potential for more costly damage. A must for spark-intensive workplaces. Steel lids secure firmly to your 30- and 55-gal. drums with a simple strap-and-bolt assembly. No. 108087 has a gasketed, latched lid with pressure relief valve--no fusible link; closes manually.
