eTrex took the best features of a 12 parallel channel GPS receiver and put them into 5.3-ounce packages, 4.4"H and 1.2"W. The powerful results are the thinnest, most compact GPS units available. Field guides and wetland and environmental specialists will enjoy the ergonomic design. Thanks to water-resistant cases, units can handle an accidental splash or dunk and still continue to perform. User-friendly controls allow clear, one-handed operation and the high-resolution, backlit screen displays images via a four-level grey scale to expand your navigability. The proven eTrex 12 parallel-channel GPS receiver is capable of storing 500 user waypoints with an automatic track log of up to 50 waypoints to help you navigate back.

Choose from a variety of eTrex models to suit your specific needs. Like the original eTrex that will continue to maintain a tight satellite lock even while operating in forest-like conditions. The eTrex Summit is a combination GPS, altimeter and electronic compass, perfect for both marine and recreational use. The eTrex Legend features a full basemap of North and South America that contains lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, highways, railroads and coastlines. Additional memory in this unit allows users to download additional map data from Garmin's entire line of MapSource® CD-ROMs. And the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) provides position accuracy to less than three meters when receiving WAAS corrections. The eTrex Venture also features WAAS capability along with even more internal memory to provide a worldwide database of cities and locations. And when you want it all, look to the eTrex Vista to utilize WAAS corrections for accuracy combined with a basemap of North and South America, a barometric altimeter and electronic compass.
