Support Systems

Two support systems are available for safely lowering current measurement and sediment sampling equipment. Used with the A-Pack or A-55 sounding reels.

TYPE A CRANE

Constructed of sturdy structural aluminum with a maximum capacity of 75 lb. Great for use from overhead structures. Crane can easily be folded down or dismantled for storage or transport. The optional three wheel base allows crane to be safely and easily moved along a bridge rail. In the proper position the boom extends out approximately 3 feet. Larger systems for heavier weights are available by special order.

MODEL 3900 BRIDGE BOARD

Free standing support with adjustable vertical leg to match rails of varying heights. With the sounding reel mounted, the boom is positioned over the rail. Suspension cable is stretched over the sheave at the end of the 4 ft. long boom with instrument package ready to be lowered. Maximum capacity is 30 lb.
