Soil Probes Collect Samples Near Ground Surface

Take quick, easy samples of soil type, conditions and consistency. A simple way to sample topsoil, these AMS Soil Probes feature sturdy steel tubing, corrosion-resistant 9"L cross handle and sharp, heat-treated bits. Probes are available in either easy-to-clean 4130 chrome-plated molybdenum or stainless steel. The included cross handle can be removed so that AMS extensions and hammer attachments may be used.

Probes resist bending and twisting out of shape as they enter the ground. The bit end is swedged to 11/16" O.D. for ease of insertion into the soil. The inside of the bit is constructed so that the soil sample is easily removed from the probe tube through a clean, wide slot. Probe has a 7/8" O.D.
