Current Meters - Complete Sets

A precisely balanced bucket wheel is mounted on a vertical pivot and is rotated by water flow. Water velocity is measured by manually counting the number of revolutions of the bucket wheel over a given period of time or automatically from a digital counter, sold below. A rating chart is provided to convert the revolutions directly to velocity in feet per second or meters per second. Current meters are available in two sizes. The larger Model AA may be suspended by means of a wading rod or cable from an an overhead structure. The Mini Current Meter is for use when water depth is very shallow or water velocity is below 3.0 fps.
