Gauge is Designed for Direct Reading of Bark Thickness

A quick and easy method of testing the bark thickness, this Barktax Bark Gauge is a necessary accessory for accurate cruising and scaling measurements. When pressed against the bark, the scale recedes into the handle and the borer cuts out a core of the bark. Thickness can be read on the scale from 0 to 2" in 1/10" increments. 5-1/4" aluminum gauge features a recessed steel tip and an ergonomic ABS plastic handle.
