Automatic Temperature Compensation Adds Accuracy to These Refractometers
These convenient Waterproof Hand-Held Refractometers make testing simple. No need for conversion tables or charts to evaluate readings. All models are waterproof, rugged and portable. They use distilled water as a calibration fluid. Readings on precision models are comparable to benchtop Abbe refractometers.
Coolant Refractometer, No. 58071, tests engine antifreeze protection for ethylene glycol and propylene glycol from 32° to -60°F (0° to -48°C). Also coolant concentrations on a 0 to 70% scale for ethylene glycol and 0 to 63% scale for propylene glycol and battery charges.
Brix Refractometers, Nos. 58076 and 58077, measure solids percentage as sucrose (Brix) in water-soluble solutions. Ideal for use in the production of soft drinks, fruit juices, wine and beer, determining fruit ripeness, and for quality control in vending and beverage dispensing equipment. No. 58076 uses Brix 0 to 50%. No. 58077 uses Brix 50 to 90%.
Industrial Fluid Refractometer, No. 58078, is useful for measuring the concentration of metalworking coolants or lubricants, heat treating fluids, hydraulic fluids and plating baths. Uses a 0 to 30% Brix scale.
