No other caliper measures up to these features and capabilities...by simply

work. Everything has been systematically and logically constructed and all

diameters or other data with a slide of the caliper arm and the touch of a

Features
- Big geographical display (32 x 100 pixels) with adjustable contrast test,
diagrams and figures. Easy to read in any weather or light conditions (snow,
rain).
- Standard Com-port (RS 232) and built-in Kermit protocol enables a safer
communication with your external equipment. Transmit your data via modem or
send it directly to Microsoft Excel. Transmit data directly to your IBM
compatible computer or a printer.
- High strength aluminum beam has English and metric graduations and is
unharmed by water, dust or resin.
- Tactile Enter-key instantly measures, stores or transmits with simple
press of your finger.
- Electronics with a powerful processor and with a large 512kB memory
capacity that can handle both complicated calculations and storage of
extensive data material.
- Water, condensation or dust will not cause any problems, since all
electronic components have been protected and sealed with strong silicone
coating.
- A built-in 3-volt back up battery in the caliper ensures that data is not
lost due to battery failure, even if the 9-volt battery dies.
- A GPS system can be connected to the RS 232 port to store the forestry
related data such as coordinates. Even electronic height measurements can be
stored for later analysis.
- Calipers carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty

Software Options For Log Scaling And Timber Cruising:
Logscale Software
A complete MS-DOS data collection and processing program developed for use in
wood yards across North America. LogScale comes with two separate programs for
scaling whole length trees and one for segmented logs. It allows you to enter up
to forty eight feet, record thirty five different species, and twelve different
grades. Data can be obtained directly from the caliper or downloaded to a PC.
Volumes are given by species and grade in Doyle, Scribner, International
1/4",
and cubic foot inside and outside bark. Includes instruction manual and your
choice of 3 1/2" or 5 1/4" disk.

CalCruise Software
Enables the cruiser to record all cruise data including (DBH, height,
species, and product) for quick and accurate volumes. Data is easily downloaded
to a PC for printing reports that give you volume in Doyle, Scribner,
International, and cubic foot by species for the total tract and per acre. Also
this MS-DOS software will compute all your cruise statistics. CalCruise comes
with two separate programs for both Point Sampling and Plot Sampling, by
entering either your plot size or BAF. You may enter eighteen species groups and
three product classes. The software is also capable of assigning the product
class based on a DBH threshold you assign. Height may be measured in logs, half
logs or in feet. Includes instruction manual and your choice of 3 1/2 or 5 1/4
disk.
