Each test costs only pennies to perform.
All kits use proven methods for on-site study of fresh water environments.
Kits include step-by-step instructions, labware and reagents to perform fast,
accurate water quality tests. Versatile field testing kits perform test by
either direct reading titration or color Octet Comparator. Kits are furnished in
a compact carrying case. Refills are available for all kits.
- Some of our kits have been improved to meet industry demands.
- Most kits employ either EPA or APHA methodologies.
- The new Dissolved Oxygen Kit (No. 54183) is EPA accepted and uses
WinklerTitration - an all liquid system that is accurate to 0.2 ppm.
- Other newly designed kits are the Nitrate-Nitrogen (No. 221790) which uses
zinc instead of cadmium.
- The Ammonia-Nitrogen Kit (No. 221782) uses salicylate methods which
eliminate the use of mercury.
- Old favorites include the Turbidity Test (No. 221800) for shallow water
and streams. This test utilizes the Jackson Candle System to screen for
sediment control problems. It is ideal when a secchi disk can't be used.
All the kits listed below are part of an ongoing effort to provide new test
methods that are faster and easier to use plus reduce or eliminate hazardous
materials.
