The Big Beaver-One man portability with truck mounted power

Document Number: 1080
The new "Big Beaver" portable drilling rig features one man
portability with its wheeled modular frame. Only 26" in width and 80"
in height, the Big Beaver can be easily transported to just about any drilling
site for precision augering of environmental test wells or under eaves of
buildings for foundation repairs or even indoors. In extreme terrain conditions,
the drill rig can be removed from its modular wheeled frame and mounted on a
truck, trailer or crawler for transport to remote drill sites.
- Allows one person to manually do any job that generally requires a truck
mounted rig. Can be used indoors, in the field, or anywhere a truck can't
go. The unit is narrow and short and can be pulled like a hand truck.
- Drills 6" diameter holes up to 100 feet or 16" diameter holes to
28 feet in typical applications. Holes can be augered up to 15 degrees from
vertical.
- Complete system consists of a modular steel frame, 18 horsepower engine
and three wheels.
- The Power Source can be used to run other tools like power drills,
concrete saws, breakers, tampers, chain saws or any hydraulic tool.
- If you already own the PS-16 Little Beaver engine, it can be used with the
frame and wheels (the PS-16 is being replaced with the PS-18 engine to give
more horsepower).
- Other auger sizes can be special ordered up to 16". Hollow stem
augers can be ordered also.
