In order to use HOBO and Stowaway dataloggers, software is required. The appropriate software will allow the user to initially launch the logger as well as to download data.

Downloading a Datalogger Downloading involves connecting the logger to a computer (or shuttle) once all data have been collected. The data is initially stored in spreadsheet form, and can be graphed or exported into other software. The Shuttle In some applications, it is impractical to bring a datalogger in from the field for downloading. In these instances, a shuttle may be used. The shuttle allows a user to download data from a logger directly into the shuttle, while leaving the logger in the field. The shuttle memory stores 468K of data, equal to 51 full 8K loggers or 7 full 64K loggers. It stores all logger information including serial number, launch number, as well as the data.
