Bailer Boring System for Heterogeneous Soils

This hand operated set is designed to sample both soil and groundwater with
one complete kit. A variety of augers in 7cm and 10cm diameters are included for
sampling in all types of soil to a depth of 7 meters (about 23 feet). Auger
heads can be changed as different soil types are encountered.
Once water is reached and the soil is too soggy to maintain a borehole,
the casing sections are used to support the sides until sampling is
complete. Water, sludge, and undisturbed soil can all be removed with the
various components of the kit.
Everything needed for this type of sampling in any soil type is included
and will fit in the heavy duty aluminum equipment case included with the
set. The components and quantities are in the following list:
