Professional 12 Channel Navigator
This unit features a 12 parallel channel receiver for even faster positioning
and better satellite tracking under tree canopy. With each of the 12 channels
dedicated to a signal, you get faster initial position fixes and faster
satellite re-acquisition when a signal is momentarily blocked by tree canopy or
tall buildings. The 12XL offers an unbelievable 500 waypoint storage capacity
along with 9 proximity waypoint alarms you can designate to warn of dangerous
areas or hazards as you approach them. These features are not found in our other
GARMIN receivers.
External antenna capability allows this GPS receiver to be used in a variety
of situations, even inside a vehicle with the optional magnetic remote antenna,
#100410. This is the unit to get if you operate GPS in challenging conditions.
