The U.S. Forest Service Goes Online to Find Employees
The Forest Service is offering positions for both permanent and temporary employment on their Web site. Permanent positions are for full time employees and provide a flexible range of Federal Government Benefits. Permanent employment includes jobs from Archeologist to Fish Biologist to a Cook Training Leader. You can find out more about permanent employment on this link from the US Forest Service
http://jobsearch.usajobs.opm.gov/a9fs.aspx
Temporary positions are for part-time or seasonal employment and provide benefits that vary with each position. With so much of the work done by the Forest Service being seasonal such as wildfire fighting and recreational programs, there is a great need for temporary positions. The Forest Service places high value on temporary employees because many Forest Service employees have started their careers as temporary employees. It’s a great way for high school and college students to learn about different opportunities that can lead to future careers in the service.
You can use the link below to learn more about temporary positions available in the U.S. Forest Service:

The Natural Resource Editor's Challenge!
Last month we asked this question:
If you grabbed a 16 Watt Fanon® Megaphone to remind a co-worker to place an order at BenMeadows.com how far away could he/she be and still be able to hear you?
Adam from Arkansas knew that people will be able to hear you from 600 yards away! Adam added an exclamation mark to his answer (probably to illustrate how our megaphones are extremely loud and effective) so we thought we would, too!
We're sending Adam a PMI Kershaw 5-in-1 Carabiner Tool!
Take a look at our latest catalog or use our Web site (www.benmeadows.com) for help with this month's challenge. Don't have a catalog? You can get a free copy by clicking here. Now here's the question:
A person has just ordered Ben's Shipping deal for $39. How much will this person pay for ground shipping and handling if he/she then orders 40 quarts of marking paint? [You may use a calculator to help with your answer.]
If you know, send us the correct answer along with your name and how to contact you. Send us the right answer and you'll be entered into a drawing. The winner will receive a PMI Kershaw 5-in-1 Carabiner Tool (a $60 value)!
Send your answers to: editor@benmeadows.com
