Made of 3 oz. polypropylene material with a felt-like texture and feel, Nonwove Weed Control Fabric is bonded on one side to allow water, fertilizer, and air to pass through. As a garden mat exposed to sunlight, the mat will last approximately six to eight months. When covered with bark, mulch or stone, the mat is permanent. It will not expand, contract, rot or become brittle like regular plastic sheeting. Controls approximately 95% of all weeds.
