Grafting Wax Seals and Heals Your Trees and Shrubs
Prevent disease and drying by sealing wounds with chemical-free Grafting Wax. For successful grafting the first time, apply between January and April, according to locality. Place Wax in warm water or hold in the palm of your hand until it is soft enough to work—and make sure your hands are greased with tallow or oil for easy cleanup. If you prefer a cleaner method, apply with a brush after heating to a semi-liquid state. Once scions are set, wax all cut surfaces, including the tips to keep out water and air. Choose from 1- or 1/2-lb. Cake or 10-lb. Tub.
