Accurately Measures Evaporation from the Soil and Transpiration from Vegetation
Invaluable for golf course and agricultural irrigation management. Prevent over- or under-irrigation, avoid wasted water and reduce pollution from deep percolation. Water is evaporated through a clayceramic plate covered by a diffusion cover that creates a resistance that mimics the evaporation rate in plants. The results can be read in inches and millimeters directly from a site tube. 1" evapotranspired from turf or crop corresponds to a level drop of 1" in the reservoir. Rain gauge is included so that rainfall can also be measured.
