Extendible Auger Accommodates Clay Soil Samples
Widely used for the study of soil composition, profile and soil mapping. A screw-like point at the lower end of the Extendible Auger body enters into the soil as you simultaneously push and turn the Auger clockwise. The soil sample is guided into the Auger body by the two vaulted vertical cutting blades. The vaulted design not only promotes soil digging, but also ensures a firm hold of the sample in the Auger. The blades are welded to a bow bracket, which is connected to the Auger rod. Narrow blades hold cohesive clay soil samples in place. Auger is approximately 24"L. Conical screw style. 4"-dia.
