With an IR camera there’s a minimal, red flash that reduces the risk of spooking game. In addition, the Cuddeback Ambush IR Scouting Camera captures high-quality 10-second videos at 24 frames per second both day and night. This 5MP Trail Cam utilizes Centered Subject Technology™ with fast trigger speed to capture animals in the center of your image for easier identification. Also provides you detailed moon and sun information for the exact time the image was taken. Takes over 10, 000 images on a set of 8AA batteries (not included). If you forget or lose your SD card the Ambush can record images or video in internal memory (approximately 60 images in 60 MB of internal memory).

Comments about Cuddeback® Ambush IR Scouting Camera:
This is by far the worst camera I have ever owned (and I have several). Even the cheaper cameras from 10-yrs ago work better than this camera, especially the old D cell cuddy backs. This one has Poor battery life, Constant moisture or leaking into the battery pack area. Also, the lens seems to be constantly fogged up. Lousy picture quality, and right after the 1-yr warranty period, it stopped shooting color pics??? I bought it because, I thought it was a good camera, but it is horrible.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
