Scaling Rule Measures Board Feet Content of Lumber
Lumber Scaing Rules, made of flexible split hickory shafts, are covered with two coats of polyurethane plastic. The 6"L walnut wedge handle fits the palm of your hand. Bold, black numbers face the user and can be used by either a left- or right-handed inspector.
The one-piece, lightweight stainless steel head has a pre-bent sharpened point for grabbing lumber. It also has a built-in “go or no-go” thickness gauge.
The Three-Line Rules have scale graduations of 12, 14 and 16' on one side and 8, 10 and 18' on the other.
The Four-Line Scales have graduations of 10, 12, 14 and 16' on one side and 9, 11, 13 and 15' on the other.
Sticks are shipped with brace to avoid breakage.
