Great Outdoor Games:
The ESPN Great Outdoor Games is the largest
outdoor sporting event in the nation. This year,
athletes competing in target sports, timber events,
sporting dogs and fishing gathered in Madison,
Wisconsin to thrill crowds from all over the world.
The Ben Meadows Company is proud to have taken
part in this exciting event. We met a lot of great
people and spoke with many Outdoor Pros who, just
like us, couldn't stay away from a gathering this
important, so close to home. In fact, this year's
games attracted over 68,000 fans and our own staff
photographer, Derek, was one of them.
Take a look at some of the great images Derek
captured at the games. If you're interested in

The fishing events garnered great catches for
some of the sport's most respected pros. |

|
One of the earmarks of a true champion is knowing
how to unwind. |
 |
The Outdoor Games provided opportunities for spectators
to try their hand (or foot) at some of the events.
Here attendees discover log rolling is even more
challenging than it looks. |
 |
Quick feet and excellent balance aren't the only
skills log rolling requires. Superior strategy and
the ability to psyche out your opponent
can mean the difference between victory and an unexpected
dunk in the pond. |
 |
The sporting dogs events were very popular with
the crowds. These world-class canine athletes truly
stole the show. |

Another great shot from the sporting dogs competition. |

And speaking of hot dogs. . . |
