Rhizon Soil Moisture Samplers

For Frequent Sampling of Small Volumes of Soil Moisture

Ideal for greenhouses, waste water sampling, forestry studies and more. Soil Moisture Samplers consist of a hydrophilic, porous polymer tube, 2.3mm in dia., a permanent connection to the soil surface and a connector for attaching vacuum tubes or syringes to extract samples. An internal stainless steel wire gives the sampler enough rigidity to insert horizontally, disrupting minimal amounts of soil. The porous coating lets soil moisture enter the tube. Samples are taken directly using a syringe. Ideal when measuring for pH because there is no CO2 loss in the sampling process.

10cm Tube yields about 7mL of sample. Both the 5cm and 10cm Tubes yield a representative sample in less than 16 hours, depending on soil conditions, and will last about 6 months. Both are sold in pkg. of 10. 10mL Syringes are sold in sets of 10, complete with adaptor and retaining cap.
