Liner Sampler Set for Medium-to-Soft Soils includes a 2' (60cm) normal, screw-type handle, seven 39" (100cm) extension rods, 7cm-dia. Edelman auger (bottom part, combination type), 0.8"-dia. (22.2mm) push/pull handle, 1.6"-dia. (40mm) stainless steel coring apparatus, 8.5"L (22cm) x 1.6"-dia. (40mm) sample tube with cutting shoe, two 40mm dia. cutting shoes for sample tubes, 10 1.4"-dia x 8.5"L (37mm x 22cm) plastic liners, 10 1.6"-dia. (40mm) plastic sample liner containers, 6.5mm bit screwdriver, two coupling sleeves, one notebook, one pair of chemical-resistant work gloves, one maintenance kit (brush, oilpad, Vaseline), one fi berglass utility probe with cone (19mm dia. x 105cm L x 112.5mm shaft dia.), one aluminum transport case (108 x 23 x 14cm outside dimensions) and one padlock.
With the Bayonet-Style Connection, the two parts to be joined (top and bottom of auger, or extension rods) are clamped into each other, then a coupling sleeve is pushed down to lock the connection. This style provides a quick coupling without the use of tools, and there is no jamming of the connection even under adverse working conditions.
