Kestrel Pocket Wind Meters give you quick, reliable readings in the palm of your hand. Measuring modes and display units can be changed at any time. The large, backlit LCD is easy to read.
Kestrel 1000 is accurate and affordable. Easy to use—simply hold it up to measure wind speed. Tracks maximum and average wind speeds in MPH and KPH along with current readings.
Kestrel 2000 measures wind speeds like the Kestrel 1000 and adds temperature and wind-chill readings in °F or °C. Fast-responding thermistor records temperatures accurate to ±1°C. Calculates wind chill from wind and temperature data using the U.S. National Weather Service’s official tables.
Kestrel 2500 has an easy-to-use altimeter and three-hour pressure trend. It measures wind speed, maximum wind gust, average wind speed, air, water and snow temperature, wind chill, barometric pressure and altitude.
Kestrel 3000 measures wind speed plus temperature, humidity, relative humidity, wind chill, dew point and the heat stress index. Will measure even the slightest breeze (0.3m/s).
Kestrel 3500 features all of the measurements of the Kestrel 3000 and adds barometric pressure, altitude and wet-bulb temperature.
Kestrel 4000 comes in gray or orange with all Kestrel 3500 features plus a chart mode to recall and graph up to 250 measurements with the date and time of storage. Hinged cover protects impeller from debris and damage.Kestrel 4200 calculates cubic feet per minute (cfm) readings for you. No need to carry a calculator or mess with cumbersome equations. Just enter the duct shape and dimensions, hold the Kestrel 4200 in the airflow, and volume airflow readings are displayed. It also measures wet-bulb temperature, barometric pressure and humidity ratio. Datalogger records 1600 measurement sets at user-selectable time intervals.
Kestrel 4300 measures the same parameters as the Kestrel 4200 while adding the evaporation rate—a function of relative humidity, temperature and wind speed that’s critical to concrete contractors.
Kestrel 4500 has all the functions of the Kestrel 4000 plus a built-in digital compass to measure wind direction. The unit calculates crosswind and headwind/tailwind with reference to a user-set target heading. Stores the data in its 1400 data-point memory. All models have plastic impellers that can be replaced without tools, are waterproof and float. All models include cover, adjustable lanyard, battery and outer protective case. Ultralight plastic Replacement Impeller can be field-installed without tools.
Kestrel Pocket Wind Meter Mini Tripod holds any Kestrel meter while you record readings. Sturdy
legs extend from 6–10"H. Ultracompact and portable device folds to
7-1/2"L and weighs just 4.8 oz. The top clamp detaches and is compatible with any tripod with a standard tripod mount (1/4" 20 thread fitting). Includes a padded carry pouch.
