Global Water Flow Probes

The Flow Probe is a highly accurate, lightweight, water-velocity instrument that is excellent for stormwater-runoff studies, measuring flows in streams, rivers and partially filled pipes. The anodized aluminum telescoping handle is available in lengths that extend from 3'–6' and from 5'–15'. The key feature is a free-rotating turbo-prop propeller sensor protected inside a 2"-dia. PVC housing. The housing can be placed directly on the bottom of pipes or streams for measuring flows down to 2" in depth. The unit can be extended up to 25'L for measuring sewers or for use from bridges using standard PVC pipe and electrical extension cable.A 3'L Mylar-coated staff gauge graduated in hundredths and centimeters is attached directly to the lower section of the probe for instantly measuring water depth and probe position. The large, easy-to-read, rainproof, digital readout is on the top of the handle. It features displayed readings of instantaneous velocity along with average velocity, minimum or maximum velocity. Includes a timer, 30-record data memory and low-battery indicator. Internal Battery will last approximately 5 years.
Each Flow Probe is shipped complete in a padded carrying case. Carrying case: 4"H x 9"W x 4'L.
