Forest Fire Shelters Come in Different Sizes to Accommodate All Firefighters

If you fight wildfires, these are tools that just might save your life one day. New generation Forest Fire Shelters give you increased protection against radiant heat, convective heat and burn over. Use as a last resort if escape routes or safety zones become inadequate. Choose from two sizes. Each Fire Shelter includes standard accessories: nylon duck carrying case, plastic case liner and instructional DVD. Meets U.S. Forest Service 5100-606 requirements for materials.
Regular-Sized Fire Shelter (No. 145245) is 15-1/2"H x 31"W x 86"L when deployed. Accommodates firefighters as tall as 6'1". Weighs about 4-1/2 lb.
Large Fire Shelter (No. 145246) measures 19-1/2"H x 31"W x 96"L to fit firefighters taller than 6'1" and/or whose girth exceeds 53" at any point. Weighs about 5 lb.
Practice Fire Shelters (Nos. 145247 and 160776) are the same size as Fire Shelters and are great training tools. They are not fire-resistant, however, and should not be used as actual fire shelters. Each includes the standard accessories plus a polyvinyl bag.
