These Measuring Units / Hip Chains offer hands-free measurement of distances traveled in rough or heavily forested country. Available in Metric or English. Units come with enough thread to measure 6km (19,686'). The thread is tensioned before it is measured—tested accuracy is 99.5%.
The heavy-duty, five-digit counter with rotary reset registers 99,999km or ft., calibrated to 1/10 of km or 1'. Mounted in a heavyduty plastic case, the gear-drive mechanism is on the top for easy viewing and threading. Rotary button prevents accidental resetting.
Both include thread and a 2"W by 44"L waist belt.
