All-Steel Construction Hand Penetrometer Set Handles Rugged Use

Determines the rate of compaction for any soil. Applications include soil research, civil engineering and agriculture. To use, apply constant pressure on the built-in hand grips to push the rod and cone into the ground. Resistance of the soil is determined by dividing the reading by the surface area of the selected cone. A drag pointer records the highest measurement. Range of 10,000kN/m2 (1450 psi).
