The conical screw connection has a slightly larger rod diameter, which allows for larger torsional movement. When using more extension rods, the conical screw thread connection will give a firmer, more stable connection. The Conical Screw-Style Auger is better in harder soils, or when hammering or jarring is required. Handles sold separately. Includes a crossbar welded to 24"L Shaft.
