Bottom Dredges Securely Recover Sediment Samples from Most Bottom Materials

During descent, a two-way mechanism prevents these Bottom Dredges from accidental closure. When it hits the bottom, the impact triggers the spring-loaded release mechanism without using a messenger. Since the top of each Bottom Dredge is covered with a stainless steel screen, the frontal shock wave is reduced, which helps prevent sample loss. The opening dimensions of both units are 6"W x 5.5"L, giving you an effective sampling area of 33 sq. in. The jaws, top screen, side plates, underlip plate, screen frame, fasteners and hinge pin are all stainless steel to withstand hard use. The exterior weights and closing arms are powder-coated steel.
